Players benefit from the tank's upgrade to the AIM variant, with better armour array and fire control system to allow better usage of the Abrams' great specifications. Introduced in Update 'Danger Zone' as a squadron vehicle unlock, the M1A1 AIM presents most of the benefits of the M1A1 tank. The M1A1 AIM were put into service by the Australian Army by 2007. The M1A1 AIM ('Abrams Integrated Management') are refurbished Abrams tanks with additional sensors and communication platforms for better integration with the new information space on the battlefield. To provide the Australian Army with the best protection capabilities against these threats and continue fighting in a combined arms fashion, the Australian government sought to replace their existing tank fleet with 59 M1A1 AIM tanks from the United States. Very nice.As new threat profiles emerged from the Cold War, the Australians recognized that their existing fleet of Centurions and Leopards for the Royal Australian Armoured Corp (RAAC) was becoming obsolete in being able to protect the crew against these threats. With workable tracks and PE, this kit is awesome. I just build an Academy M1A2 and the barrel was one of the finest enginered barrels I've ever put together. So why in the heck didn't they slide mold the barrel? Meng, to me, will never be epic until they start slide molding barrels. In the same kit they slide-mold a snorkel for the engine air intake that I miss took as the barrel. The only thing that I don't like is the barrel is in two halfs. It's a little sanding to correct a few issues. I've built this model before and the instructions can get a little confusing but just take yer time and keep in mind the variant your building.

I chose this model because of the USMC AIM variant. This model can be built into 3 different variants of the M1A1.

Dragon makes a good AIM but now you can add Meng to the list. There are alot of TUSK I, II, and V2's out there.
